Rushil  Zutshi

I am a New Map Of Like Fellow at Stanford University's Center On Longevity. My current research focuses on evaluating the effect of Herpes Zoster (HZ) vaccination on dementia incidence using quasi-experimental techniques. Prior to this, I was a Research Scientist at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), where I studied the impact of clinician training on dementia care patterns and assessed the comparative effectiveness of Medicare Advantage (Part C) and Traditional Medicare for retirees with Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD).

I completed my PhD at the RAND School of Public Policy in July, 2023. My dissertation used a randomized trial with standardized patients to identify caste and religion based discrimination in healthcare delivery among private providers in Bihar, India.

My primary areas of study are health economics, aging, health systems, and global health and equity using methods spanning RCTs, quasi-experimental methods, and agent-based and simulation models.
