I am a Research Scientist at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). My current research focuses on evaluating the impact of vertical integration on post-acute care transitions and outcomes of retirees with alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD). Prior to this, I was a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Schaeffer Center at the University of Southern California. My research focused on evaluating the efficacy of Medicare Advantage (Part-C) compared to Traditional Medicare for the same population.
I completed my PhD at the Pardee RAND Graduate School in July, 2023. For my job market paper, I designed and evaluated a randomized controlled trial using the standardized patient method to identify caste and religion based discrimination in healthcare delivery among private providers in Bihar, India.
My primary areas of study are global health, health systems and health equity. I have experience using a diverse set of methodologies in these areas including RCTs, agent-based models, simulation models, and quasi-experimental methods using claims data.
